The Martin Luther King Mitzvah

Mathew Tekulsky's novel is a timeless story of two kids who defy the odds, unite a town, and make a brave stand against discrimination.

Marina del Rey Screenplay Award Mockup

Glad to share this nice presentation by my website guru Mason May, who has a great eye for composition. The award for Best Period Romance Feature Screenplay says it all. THE CHESTNUT TREE logline is as follows: A Jewish boy named Adam Jacobs and a Catholic girl named Sally Fletcher team up to launch an anti-Vietnam War protest in the fictional town of Beachmont, NY in 1967 after attending Martin Luther King’s “Beyond Vietnam” speech at the Riverside Church on 4/4/67 with blacklisted author Gladys McKinley.
