Put on by the Western National Parks Association, special thanks to Sophia Wong, events manager at the Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center at the King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, October 18. And thanks to Peter Barash for taking these photographs of me and for hanging out all day and helping. I had a lot of fun meeting the people and signing my book.

Amazingly, my table with my book BACKYARD BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY is just behind this plaque with a great quote by the legendary nature writer John Burroughs. I work with the John Burroughs Association in New York and try to support the legacy of this fantastic essayist and bird expert. Photo of me next to the Burroughs plaque by Peter Barash.
